The sweet spot for a maternity session is between 28 and 34 weeks—when your bump is round and glowing, but you’re still feeling comfortable and mobile. I recommend booking during your second trimester to make sure we can lock in the perfect date together.

What should I wear for my maternity photoshoot?
I want you to feel radiant, confident, and completely yourself during your session. That’s why I provide a curated wardrobe of elegant maternity gowns—think flowing fabrics, romantic silhouettes, and styles that beautifully celebrate your baby bump.

Still, there are a few essentials you’ll want to bring:

• Nude thong underwear (and one black option too)
• Strapless nude bra with cups – especially helpful for draped fabric looks

• A black bra for more versatile setups
• Non-maternity jeans – perfect for open-belly shots
• Any special pieces you love—think a statement necklace, a pair of heels, favorite lingerie, or something sentimental

If your partner is joining the shoot, here’s what works best:

• Jeans or fitted dress pants
• A solid-color fitted T-shirt or a button-down shirt
• A blazer if you want a polished, elevated look
• Clean, neutral shoes

Yes! Many of my clients bundle their maternity and newborn sessions to capture both the anticipation and the arrival. It’s such a special way to document the full journey into motherhood.

Most maternity photoshoots last about 60–90 minutes. This gives us time to relax, enjoy the process, and capture both posed and candid moments without feeling rushed.

We know pets are family, and many expecting parents dream of including them in this special moment. While we’d love to welcome your furry companion, pets are not permitted in the studio due to safety concerns and the delicate nature of our sets, props, and lighting.

Thank you for understanding and helping us keep the space peaceful, clean, and safe for all our clients—including newborns and mamas-to-be. If capturing memories with your pet is important to you, we’re happy to suggest beautiful outdoor locations for a future session where they can safely join the fun.

Most sessions are done in my San Ramon studio, designed with natural light and comfort in mind. Outdoor sessions in scenic local spots are also available by request.

If bad weather hits, don’t worry—we’ll simply reschedule your session for the next available date that works for you. I always leave room in my calendar for weather backups.
